Flipside Circus offers school holiday workshop courses every school holidays in Brisbane and South East Queensland. Workshops vary depending on age group and location. 

Have a look at our different workshop programs below, then check our dates to see when the workshop is on. 

Workshops will be held in the April, June/July, September/October and December/January school holidays. The skills taught in each workshop change from holiday to holiday...so no two sessions are the same!

Come and fly into the school holidays as Flipside teams up with Circus Arts Brisbane to bring Flying Trapeze to the 15 Tricks in 1 Day and 5 Day Circ-cation program*. For a fun and thrilling circus experience, the Flying Trapeze delivers! Operated by specialist teachers from Circus Arts Brisbane, your child can experience ‘flying’ in a safe and supportive environment.

*Flying Trapeze rotation offered in 15 Tricks in 1 Day and 5 Day Circ-ation workshops in Alderley only. Flipside Circus is not liable to refund or exchange workshop fees if Flying Trapeze rotation is cancelled due to unsafe weather conditions (eg. storms). In the event of unsafe weather an alternative indoor aerial activity will take its place. Unfortunately, due to logistical reasons Flying Trapeze is not included in the end of workshop performance. We apologise for this inconvenience. 

Workshops Available

Wriggles and Giggles (18 months to 5 years) Workshops $25 per child

Bring some fun, excitement and adventure into your child’s school holidays! Wriggles and Giggles are interactive workshops where parents accompany their children to learn circus skills together. Children will explore the world of circus, learning tricks in a fun, social environment. A perfect introduction to how the body can be used to be creative!

15 Tricks in 1 Day Workshops (6 to 16 years) $160 per child at Alderley – All meals and drinks included

ROLL UP! ROLL UP! Come and join the circus for a day and learn 15 circus tricks that you will never forget! From juggling to hula hoops, mini tramp to tumbling and everything on the ground and in the air. This includes flying on our Flying Trapeze – the ultimate aerial experience! At the end of the day perform a circus show for friends and family in full circus costume! Every student takes homes a special certificate to say they’ve completed 15 circus tricks! 

3 Day Circus Performance Workshop (6 to 16 years) $140 per child

If you’ve ever wanted to be a circus performer then this workshop is right for you! Learn or improve your skills in static trapeze, lyra, tissu, tight wire, acrobatics, tumbling, juggling and hula hoops. All participants will perform in a circus show at the end of the third day. Circus costumes will be provided. Mums, Dads and Grandparents, be sure to bring your cameras!

5 Day Circ-cation Workshops (7 to 16 years) $590 per child – All meals and drinks included

Want a vacation with a difference? Flipside's 5 Day Circ-cation Workshop is 5 FULL DAYS of tricks, tumbles, trapeze, juggling, tight wire, hula hoops, performance and so much more. On the final day, each child has the chance fly on our flying trapeze – the ultimate aerial experience! You'll learn performance skills to create your very own circus performance! As well as the full circus experience the 5-Day Circ-cation Workshop is designed to allow you to make new friends, try some circus-related arts activities each day and surprise your family and friends with a fun performance on the last day of the workshop.

Sunshine Coast Workshops - Lake Kawana Community Centre 114 Sportsmans Parade, Bokarina

Back by popular demand, Brisbane’s Flipside Circus are packing up their juggling balls, trapeze and tumble runs and returning to the Sunshine Coast in 2013. Throughout the year workshops for different ages will be held at Kawana, each exploring the world of Circus. Students will learn many different tricks and how to be creative with their bodies.  At the end of the workshops, all students will show off their skills in a circus show. Mums, Dads and Grandparents, be sure to bring your cameras! A great way for kids to be active, learn new skills and have fun!
