Wer wir sind und was wir tun

Hallo zusammen

Wie die meisten von euch ja schon vernommen haben, habe ich die Organisation der Schweizer Spielgruppe von Kathrin uebernommen.

Fuer alle diejenigen, welche noch nie bei einem Treffen dabei waren, moechte ich hiermit einen Aufruf der Ermutigung rausschicken. Es waere schoen, wenn wir in Zukunft einige neue Gesichter begruessen koennten, nicht zuletzt, um nicht eines Tages einfach auszusterben, wenn alle unsere Kinder zur Schule gehen.

Im Moment treffen wir uns eher sporadisch da die Gruppe der regelmaessigen Teilnehmerinnen eher klein ist. Wir koennen die Treffen aber ohne Weiteres auch neuen Teilnehmerinnnen anpassen. Ich bin auch immer fuer Vorschlaege von neuen Spielplaetze oder anderen kinderfreundlichen Happenings offen.

Avid Bookshop at West End : sing along for under 5's

King of the Kids, Tim Jackman, is an actor, singer and guitarist who has been entertaining children and adults alike for over a decade. With guitar, kazoo and classic nursery rhymes, Tim brings music and rhythm to the heads, shoulders, knees and toes of every audience.
He has performed for the children of the Woodford Folk Festival for more than ten years, and since 2008 has appeared weekly at ‘The Corner’ at the State Library of Queensland.
He has also worked on and performed in touring productions of Play School and Bananas in Pyjamas. Tim has been invited to return this year to the Sydney Children’s Festival, after making his debut in 2009.
Queen Bee is a benevolent sovereign of truly fruity heritage who adds a little sunshine sparkle to any event. Hailing from the Pineapple Palace on the Island of Ananas, Queen Bee's aim is to bring families together to share cultural experiences such as music, literature, dance, food, art.

Picture Book Palace is story readings with simple add on activities to make the story lift from the page and become part of the child and their families experience. More fun that the Macadamia Nut ride at the Big Pineapple!

Free triple P seminars

FREE POSITIVE PARENTING SEMINARS IN LOCAL LIBRARIES

The Triple P Centre at Indooroopilly has teamed up with Brisbane City Council to present the everpopular
Power of Positive Parenting seminar at Mt Ommaney, Inala, Indooroopilly, Kenmore and
Toowong libraries in June.
Bookings are essential for this free seminar, which will show parents and carers of children up to the
age of 12 how to create an engaging and positive learning environment for children. Presenters will
demonstrate how setting simple rules and firm limits can benefit the whole family, so everyone can
enjoy life more. Practical strategies for dealing with common child behaviour issues will also be
covered to give parents some fresh ideas they can start using at home straight away.

Baked Relief

Warm a Child – PJ Relief for Flood Victims:

Today Baked Relief, along with Brisbane Adoption / The Heart Army have launched the Warm a Child PJ Relief Project.
Brisbane Adoption / The Heart Army is working with more than 700 registered families to assist them to get their lives back to normal after the natural disasters in Queensland in the Summer of 2010/2011.
Baked Relief was a movement started in Brisbane initially providing food to emergency services, and volunteers and flood affect families during the early stages of the flood clean up.
These two groups have joined forces on the PJ relief project because the share the same ideals and values of assisting families in a nurturing way.
How can families get involved?

Children's Holiday Art Workshop #1 (27 + 28 July)

Children’s Holiday Art Workshop #1 with Deborah Cavallaro. This workshop aims to nurture the artistic development of children, whilst respecting their innate dispositions. It will provide an enriching art experience that will give children confidence to explore their own nature. Wir wollten uns eigentlich im Colmslie Beach Reserve treffen da aber die meisten von uns nicht kommen koennen werden sich Katrin und Sabine auf ein 'duette' in Capalaba treffen.
